Air turns to ashes, and water to blood by Farphyni Air turns to ashes, and water to blood by Farphyni
(experimental work)

Be aware!
Your actions, your thoughts
will drown our world
in chaos

They will come,
the signals of Imor'Thalis,
to declare to us
a prophetic vow.

When the sky darkens
during the day,
and the last creatures
flee to the horizon.

Noxanthis verdict aproaches
like fire and embers;
air turns to ashes
and water to blood.

Think before you act,
little human.
The Great Soulgorger
sees all your sins.

He will call on Noxanthis
to decide a punishment,
and her brother Imor'thalis
will come to accomplish.

Think before you act,
little human,
take care of your planet,
or the higher forces
will take revenge

...one day.

As you know, I created a whole universe of planets/... .
The Great Soulgorger, he who created all planets, has two (kind of) childrean. Noxanthis and Imor'Thalis.
Imor'Thalis ("the immortal death") is the one who punishes whole populations of a planet. Why? For example the population of the planet Dyrr was created from the Great Soulgorger to be peaceful and friendly. But they became greedy, envious and started to fight against each other to get more belongings. When the Great Soulgorger heard of that he told his daughter Noxanthis to judge how they shall be punished. As they were so greedy, Noxanthois decided they shall loose everything and sent her brother Imor'Thalis to Dyrr. A giant light pillar appeared and as it faded away Imor'Thalis were there, in his material form. He started to burn the planet, to drain it. No-one could stop him. Of course not, he belongs to the "Higher Forces".
Today Dyrr is a dead planet, a giant ball of dust and hot air.

On the drawing you see what happend to the planet Dyrr :ninja:
So be aware, little human. This may happen too to earth~

Oh humans don't need Imor'Thalis to destroy the planet (and them), they're really capable to do it by themselves.

I like how you use limited range of colours, could be a good theme for an exhibition.

Sorry, professional tic :XD:

Oh yes, that's so true. But I prefer seeing them punished by a giant dragon, who yells at them what dumbasses they were ._. Though I guess it would be a too nice death for them. Most of them deserve something...more painful.

Thank you :) was also nice to only use brown, red, orange and yellow. It's always fascinating what atmospheres only colours can create and how colours can change the complete appearance of something.

xD^^

Ahah you sentence reminds me when I was teacher assistant at university. At the beginning I yelled at lazy students (like a giant dragon :XD:), but then, seeing that it had no effect at all, I decided to let them running themselves in the wall. With this method they understood the lesson...well too late of course but they can't say that they weren't warned.

So maybe there were dragons here too but they were tired to yell with no results so now they just let humans destroying themselves and admire the show with pleasure :XD:

I would say how truly amazing this piece is, but do you even still need to hear it? You put so much care and work into each of your paintings that every single of them is breathtaking, and you have plenty of people reminding you of it every day. You must already be fully aware of how great your art is. xD

I must say I find the premise of this story very depressing, though. If you look at humans, most people are greedy and care only for their wealth and their own well-being, sometimes to the point of hurting other people just to get it. But there are also people who care about each other and nature, who are willing to give up the comfort of their lives just to ensure they don't hurt nature any more and who split their last piece of bread with a complete stranger. If it was the same on Dyrr, if there were a few people there who genuinely cared but were powerless to change the world, just like we are... It's a very sad story. Dx

(By the way, I'm truly sorry I wasn't absent for such a long time! When summer came, I thought I would have free time and could talk to all my friends and spend time with them. Unfortunately, that was only wishful thinking as there is still so much to do that I couldn't give anyone almost any time... That will definitely change now. You did not deserve to be treated like this from me, and I'm truly sorry for that. I'll do my best to be here now.)

ah yes, people tell me that they like my work, that's true. So what I often miss are comments like yours (so discussing my "art themes") or people who tell me what I can make better. (But I love it if people tell me they like my work :'D It's always cool to have a kind of "confirmation" that what you do isn't useless.)

That's true, my friend. Here on earth are also good, nice people - as there were some on Dyrr. But it doesn't change the fact, that there happen bad things and will also happen in the future if nobody stops the bad people. And noone will stop them. There are more bad people, or people who are just afraid of doing something against them, than there are good people.
Ah. I know, I'm pretty pessimistic (still trying to change that), but... not without a reason. Not without many reasons.
It's starts with the childrean, who are mobbing each other in school. You think they stop humiliating others to grow their ego when they get older?* Well, some stop. But not all of them. There's also mobbing in companies. And it's also more than mobbing: violance in families, raping, murdering; and so on. People not only hurt each other, they also hurt animals, some of them hunt animals just for fun, the "joy of the hunt" somebody called it. They exploit earth, nature, our all mother.
There's a promise I can give everybody: if we kill earth, we're going to die with her. Yes, there are good people, yes, they act in harmony with nature, but that's all. Most of them are too afraid to stop the others.
In stories most times the good people win. But surprisesurprise: the real life isn't like one of those stories we read as a kid & when you realize that when you grow up, it never fails to surprise you when you see the bad people ruling and ruining the world.
ah. Not long ago I hoped our young generation would realize that and as soon as they got older that they would make the change earth really needs...but my expections, my hopes got so destroyed. I mean: look at the kids! Dressed like bitches, acting like they were superstars; Most of them are already spoiled. Not all of them. But most of them.
I don't understand the humans, I don't understand this system. I only know: if we continue this path, I'm very, very sorry for the generations that follow ours.

*=( a while ago I met some people from my old school again, where I was mobbed. One of the guys couldn't even look me in the eyes, as he was so ashamed. -well, they didn't apologize, but I also didn't expected that. And there was a girl. I greeted her nicely, as I'm able to forgive. ah. The look she gave me was excatly the same she always had when insulting me. It was somehow amusing. Though 5 years passed since than, she couldn't break out of the "Christina-is-the-enemy-,-let's-mob-her"-pattern. So: yes, there are people who change, who regret what they did -though they don't apologize or try to 'make it up'. But there are also the other kind of people.)

It would be so easy for everybody to make the first step for improving/saving the earth: if we only would start to be kind to each other, to treat man and beast well. If we'd start to also help a complete stranger. If we'd stop to be envious, to hurt each other. Yes, some people act that way, but only some. And if the parents don't teach that their kids,...how shall they learn it?
But more and more I think that this is just not the human nature. What if humans are selfish, egoistic, violent, ... creatures? What if they will never change? I don't dare to think about that.
Maybe I'm too pessimistic, maybe I'm overreacting. I don't know. But I'm afraid of the world our kids will live in.

aahh...sorry for writing so much:ninja:

 Don't worry, my friend. I'm really not mad at you. I can understand very good that you are busy! I also have such times where I spent only very less time here or with my friends. So, please, don't worry ;)

You are most welcome! :D I see what you mean, most people say just a few words and leave it at that, never spending more than half a minute over writing a comment... People just feel the need to leave a comment on every artwork that lands in their inbox, even if they watch hundreds of people and have to write thousands of comments every day. It's a lose-lose scenario for both them and the artist. The commenter never looks deep into the art and doesn't try to understand, and the artist cannot reveal them their own feelings and motivation for the artwork. Then again, maybe it is a good thing not too many people realize this - imagine getting 50 such long comments every day XD

I'm sorry if you expect something different from me, but I completely agree with you here, I'm just as pessimistic as you when it comes to humans. I truly think that humans are so selfish, egoistic and violent. They (for some reason, I cannot get myself to write "we") strive for the short-term gain for themselves, even if they hurt everyone other and themselves in the long run. Just look at the politicians promoting corruption, cops working together with the criminal bosses, soldiers not batting at eye at killing other human beings despite all forcing them to do so is an order from a bureaucrat hundreds of kilometres away... It's an instinct, the same that all animals have to make sure they survive and can have babies, but this instinct is not needed for humans anymore. Humans are the most intelligent creatures on the planet, they can see that what the instinct tells them to do is wrong. However, humans are also weak, and it is much easier to listen to the instinct than to think about why is it wrong, recognize the good thing and then do it. Only a few humans are strong enough for that, and there will always be much, MUCH more of the weak ones.  Almost everyone knows that the civilization wastes tons of food... but everyone would flip out if the shops where most of the food is wasted were to be closed and replaced with a less wasteful system. For the weak ones, comfort and personal gain tops any good goals there are.

Another thing is that it is much harder to be a good person than to be a bad one. A bad person doesn't care about anything and anyone apart from themselves feeling good. On the other hand, the good person can't just go and shoot the bad people for being wrong, even if they are hurting everyone in the long run; the good people have to try and convince the others, but if the bad people refuse to change, there are no good options left. All you can do is use violence, but that's a terrible way that should be avoided at all costs - if you make a mistake and punish an innocent person, you cannot take it back.

Seeing kids behave so awful is very sad indeed, but they are kids, they are learning and still need to see the consequences of their actions. But what I find the most distressing is how many adults behave like kids. If people wanted, Earth could have been an utopia already. They would have felt worse for some time, but then everyone would feel good, forever... but people want to feel good NOW so they fight, steal and make problems, just so they can take what their neighbour has and have it themselves. Humanity is not really moving forward anymore...

The good people took their first steps towards a better future, but who followed them? At best, people thought "Nice, but I think things are alright now", and most of the time, they even laughed at them or tried to stop them, just because they could. I can't blame you for being afraid of the future, I am as well. We will definitely see the effects of this in our life, though - and our children may very well grow up in them. To be honest, I don't feel like I belong in this world. The entire human civilization seems wrong to me, rotten from its very roots. Sometimes, I wish I could be an animal, to live and not to have to conform to a civilization I don't agree with...
Don't worry about that, I'm not much better as you can see:iconninjahighfiveplz:

Awh, I'm really glad to hear that! There's just too much happening to keep up... I'm still sorry about not being here as much as I should be!
